 ZaneThis sweet 6 year old boy was found as a stray with old scars and broken teeth. Weighing in at 43 - we'll be giving him some much needed TLC to put on some weight. He is UTD on vaccines but had a grade 2/3 heart murmur so he can't be neutered just yet. He seems unsure but non-reactive around dogs so further testing will be done. He is a happy, wiggly boy who will be in the boarding kennel while we search for a foster/foster to adopt family for him. |  JoeA 5 year old pittie mix, who was found as a stray weighing only 35 lbs. He's battling anemia, dehydration & parasites. Despite the clear neglect he faced previously his spirit shines bright and he loves everyone he meets just looking for love & affection. He gets so excited for his walks and is currently with a volunteer where his journey to health can continue with special food, daily fluids & ongoing vet care. |  WallaceYoung, friendly & incredibly handsome at around 3 years old. He has stunning merle marking and loves going for walks to show them off. Wallace's perfect home would be one that is an adult only or older teens & the only pet so he can really shine as the good boy he is. He is currently in boarding and our volunteers are going to be working on his leash manners, basic commands and seeing if we can get him more comfortable coexisting around other pups through pack walks. |

 GhostGhost is a stunning 2 year old Dogo Argentino who is ready for a fresh start. He's young, energetic, and extremely smart. We have enrolled him in a board & train program with our friends at Bucks Training. When his training is complete it will be urgent that we find him a foster/forever home to continue the great strides we know he will make. Weighing in at 92 lbs Ghost needs a confident and experienced handler. A home with adults/older teens and where is the only pet is how he will thrive. |  AceThis handsome hunk joins us from AHS Newark after being found as a stray. He was evaluated twice at the shelter & showed everyone how sweet & smart he can be with the right people. He is about 3 years old, LOVES toys, tested well with a female dog & would be best with older teens. He is working with our volunteers in boarding on his leash manners & commands. He will thrive in a home that will give him the time to decompress & a home with breed experience. |  GiorgioAt 4 years old, Giorgio is a larger pup with a constant wagging tail. His body shows signs of a tough past-sores, urine staining, & tear stains- but all of that is behind him. He is said to be good with dogs(further testing needed) but has been friendly with every person he meets. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines and ready to find a foster or foster to adopt. |
 Oliver BluThis adorable 50 lb meatball is looking for a forever home. His bulldog, low rider mix makes him the perfect pint size companion perfect for short walks & chilling out. He is crate trained, housebroken & building up his endurance. While he isn't reactive to other dogs from a distance, he would be more comfortable as the only dog & would thrive in an adult home or a quiet home with older teens. |  BoscoThis senior gentleman is currently staying with one of our amazing volunteers. He is currently healing from being a medical "hot mess"; lymes disease, severe skin issues, lumps/bumps, & damage to both ACLs. It seems as though he had a very rough life possibly even living outdoors. His spirt however is unbroken and he is loving his new life with a pep back in his step as he is shown just how sweet life is supposed to be.  Winnie(fka Porsche) is around 2 years old, UTD on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. She is dog friendly to the point of having a fur sibling would actually help her thrive in a home. She is thriving in her foster home with two fur brothers and has come out of her shell, getting to show off her silly & playful nature. |  BooneThis sweet boy was in dire straits, his stress caused him to lick & pace so much that he has raw & bare patches on his legs & backside. He is severely underweight at only 43 lbs but has shown us despite everything he is a gentle soul. He had his initial vet appointment where he met strangers with nothing but trust. Tested well with female dogs and was non food guarding. He needs a quiet space where he can heal fully. |  AspenThis gorgeous little girl ended up in an inner city animal control facility when her family was evicted. Despite her rough start, she has been the sweetest girl. She has a beautiful Merle coat and piercing blue eyes. She has shown no resource or food guarding as she stays with two of our board members. She tested well with dogs but due to her timid nature older kids may be the best fit. She is really coming out of her shell in her foster home and showing off her playful, sweet personality. |
 MontanaThis young boy is about 2 years old and would thrive in an active home that has time to develop his training & manners . He seeks attention and loves to just stay at your side for pets. He is dog friendly but would have to be the right energy match as he is easily excited, which would also make him the best fit for older kids (15+). He recently underwent surgery for his eye & is all healed up in a foster home while looking for his forever home. |  SparkyThis handsome man is about 6 1/2 years young and is eager to find a home. He loves spending time with people, going for walks, playing with toys & even loves bath time. He is housebroken, leash trained & great with all people and other dogs (cats may be a little too tempting for him though). He is currently in boarding working with our volunteers but is super stressed. |  KodakJust 18 month old, this young pup is full of energy. He loves to play ball & will trade nicely for treats. Kodak's journey to the shelter was a tough one-his owner who clearly loved him, became homeless and had to give him up. Since he is still a pup he could benefit from a family that has time to work on his training so he can reach his full potential. He is a quick learner and already has a great "sit" & "down". |
 REDRed is under 3 years old and will be looking for his forever home. He is extremely smart and catches on quickly. He loves to learn new things. Red loves stuffed toys but they don’t seem to last too long ?. He LOVES playing catch and is even great at releasing the ball. Red loves a good game of tug too! He is crate trained and extremely housebroken. He is great on the leash but gets fearful with a lot of noises which is improving week by week. Red absolutely will benefit from having another dog! |  NalaThis happy girl is around 17 months old and is listed as a lab mix. She is amazing in the car, passed her temperament tests, and has no resource guarding. She walks nicely on leash but is around 73 lbs so she does need a strong handler. A home where she can be your one & only pet is best but is showing potential around other dogs. |  Pooh BearThis sweet boy is under 3 years old and was found abandoned, leashed to a pole. He is currently with a volunteer who says he is the perfect house guest as he is non-destructive, crate trained, house broken and LOVES his naps! He is dog friendly but due to his timid nature we would recommend no children for him. |
 LUNAThis pretty gal is around 8 years old. She has the most beautiful dark coat. She is approaching her golden years so a low key home where she can enjoy her favorite things(napping & relaxing) is what she's looking for. She is potty-trained, quiet & non destructive in the home. A warm, adult only (or teen approved), without other pet home is what would be best for our wide toothy smiley girl. |  DempseyThis handsome, tall & lanky boy is looking for his forever home. He is under 2 years old and and loves his toys, food puzzles and going on walks. He is ready to be your adventure buddy as his foster parents have learned he loves the water & exploring. He is everyone friendly but would do best with kids 8+ as he can be a bit clumsy. He is crate trained and housebroken. He is a sweet boy who is looking for his forever home.  BellaThis tiny beauty is about 5 yrs young and sweet as pie. She loves cuddling in her bed and playing with her stuffies. Bella is looking to be your only princess. She has the cutest zoomies and is extremely smart. |  DOZERThis handsome boy is about 2 years old . He has been staying with one of our volunteers and is working on being the perfect pup. He is very smart and loves treats. He is super playful with typical puppy energy. Dozer loves playing catch and running around in the yard. He must be the only pet in the home and is recommended with older kids. |
We do not have a facility so our dogs are either in foster homes or boarding. Please contact us to set up a meet and greet for any of our adoptable dogs.
Adoption Process

The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application. This must be done prior to meeting any of our dogs.

You must be 21 years and older to adopt our dogs.

Once approved, we will contact you to schedule a day for you to meet the dog you applied for.

All members of the household have to be available to meet the dog (there are no exceptions).

If other pets are in the home all must be spayed/neutered and utd on vaccines (unless there is a medical condition that we would need proof from your vet - We do vet checks)

If you have other dogs, a meet and greet will be required on neutral territory to see how they interact with each other.

We will then schedule a home visit. If all goes well, you can adopt your new best friend
Adoption Facts

Our adoption fee for dogs is a $350 tax deductible donation

Our adoption fee for puppies is a $500 tax deductible donation

All our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption

Up-to-date on shots and are heartworm negative

All dogs and puppies are microchipped

We do not have a facility, our dogs are either in foster homes or boarding

Dogs are a big responsibility and should be considered a member of your family. Please think about them long term when you become interested in adopting

Adopters must be located in NJ or within 90 minutes of Jackson, NJ
